Quartz

Quartz is the most common form of silica. Fluxes are introduced to lower its melting point.

In ceramic masses, it facilitates drying, the release of gases in the burning process and it is essential for the formation of glassy phases. It is presented as the main component in the formulation of glasses and ceramic frits. It is also applied in the paint, construction, cosmetics, chemical and other industries.
